Project highlights: Intranet, Lotus Notes integration
The challenge
The Frankfurter Sparkasse needed to efficiently receive and distribute information. The technical solutions in use were outdated, and information was scattered across different systems. A new, web-based intranet for the approximately 1,800 employees was necessary. This new system needed to present data and processes in an attractive and understandable way and be easy to develop further in the future.
The Intrexx solution
With the help of Low-Code, the Sparkasse revolutionized its information management quickly and cost-effectively. The outdated Lotus Notes database system was replaced as a user interface. With the new information portal, employees always have access to the most important news. Data from the separate directive system are read into Intrexx and displayed clearly in the portal.
How the bank operations profit from Intrexx
Employees now share information quickly and clearly.
With their new Intrexx portal, Germany's largest Sparkasse has managed to significantly enhance their intranet with minimal effort. Internal communication has been greatly simplified, from which employees benefit daily.
Easily developed custom applications.
The Frankfurt Sparkasse has built its own applications using ready-to-use Low-Code components, precisely tailored to their specific needs.
With the "Online Info" editorial system, employees are always up-to-date and can publish news themselves. The user interface of Online Info was modeled after the frontend of Lotus Notes, saving them the need for extensive training.
The new phone book application retrieves phone numbers scattered across various tiles in Lotus Notes via Intrexx, consolidates them, and presents them clearly. To ensure data is always up-to-date, it is refreshed every night.
A Customized Homepage for Every Employee.
The old intranet homepage, where 200 links were listed unsorted without filtering options, has been replaced. Employees can now individually select their favorites in a table, which are then displayed in a portlet on their homepage.
